Hello!
Someone is offering these 3 birds and I would like to give them a home, but due to “no roosters allowed” rule where we live, I don’t want to take them if they are roosters. Is it possible to tell if they are roos or pullets already? They are a little over 2months old.
So she is not drinking on her own, we syringe it to her. She really enjoyed the tuna I gave her today, but she is not interested in her normal feed, we syringe feed it to her in a mushed up consistency.
So we just called the vet to confirm we are comming in today and they let us know that the doctor that specifies in chickens is sick and most likely be there only next Monday. I really don’t know what to do anymore. :(
I had no idea before getting chickens that it’s so hard to find a vet...
Unfortunately we don’t have access to meal worms, the person we got them from last year isn’t growing them anymore. :(
Yes , I gave her raw yolk in the morning. Which canned tuna would be best? In brine?
It is emptying. sorry i am not so good in english, so i might have worded it wrongly.
We give her water through syringe and made a liquidy mush from her chicken feed and gave that to her through syringe too.
We are taking her to see a vet tomorrow.
Yes, looks like her crop is emptying.
From the things i have offered, she showed interest in corn, raspberries and sunflower seeds. She has no interest in her normal chicken feed.
I will try uploading them in a second.
I am not sure, she asked if her crop was watery and it’s not, her crop is completely empty. I have been giving her the vitamin b complex water through the day.
She isn’t laying yet.
I don’t think she could have eaten something bad , i clean out their run...
Hello!
Yesterday morning our brahma chicken (6months old) was very lethargic and I could just tell she wasn’t feeling ok. She didn’t eat or drink much.
I tried finding a doctor that could help, but I could only find one that can take us in soonest on Monday. And a lady that offered helping us...
No, they were just pretty much liquid. Todays egg had a really tiny chick that could be in its early stages and had stopped growing for whatever reason. :/
Hello!
Our silver wyandotte started being broody. We found a lady that sells eggs for hatching and got 12 eggs ( she added 2 extra so it was 14 eggs in total)
Now she is on her 12th day and she has eaten 6 eggs. Just now I went to check up on her and she cracked one right infront of my eyes...
