First, it was just my adult boy bullying just my daughter. Now, it's my younger boy now biting us and being a bully to the other chickens. He's about six months. We hatched him.
Any ideas on what I should do to stop this naughtiness?
Two days ago, an opossum got into my coop. It killed two of my girls and severely wounded my two boys. While at the vet, one of my boys died. The other one, Wisteria, is now doing pretty well. He has puncture wounds on his head and neck and probable brain damage. BUT, he's doing a lot better...
Thank you guys so much! I just ordered the ProBio for her. She really does sound like she has indigestion.
She doesn't have a bad smell coming from her mouth, so I don't think she has sour crop. (At least, not yet!) Hopefully this will prevent it from showing up.
Again, thanks a million for...
I put plastic sheeting on the top 2/3 of their windows to keep the wind out and I heat their water (to keep it from freezing) with a cookie tin with a light bulb inside. My daughter and I check on them a lot and give them warm food, like oatmeal, warmed veggies, etc. I'll probably be putting a...
So far, Hemp looks the worst. She really wasn't sure about getting her picture taken. I managed to get these. I'll try to get one that shows her molting beauty better!
Turns out the little turd is fine. She eats, drinks, and breathes fine now. She must have just been in a bit of shock. She's back to her usual, bully, nasty-attitude self. I still have to keep her separate right now because she's attacking her sisters!
One of my girls was being a butt-head, went over a fence, and got bit on her back by a small dog. I can't find any broken skin, but she's wheezing. Any ideas?
I'm glad there's info about giving those spoiled rotten chickens mangos! My neighbor just gave me some for the chickens and rats. Also, speaking of animals eating weird things: One of my cats likes curry and paprika!
I have an indoor pullet. She and her two sisters were in the coop outside with the other seven who are slightly bigger. They'd been out there for about a month. Then I went to feed them one morning, one of the three was dead, one was injured, and one was injured so badly, she had to be put down...
I have my seven hens in what used to be a covered carport. (Their outdoor run will be done this spring.) The problem is that it has a dirt floor. So, the walls, 'furniture', and their water are always COVERED in dirt! I mean, the light colored walls are brown! What would be the best way to have...
Cool beans! I hope, after you record it, you can post it on here.
I don't have a way of recording it and I'll probable end up missing it when it's on...
