My 25 year old hovabator was so easy put eggs in-get chicks out. When it finally died I got another one and it is terrible. I find it fluctuates by 5 degrees and I get few if any chicks. I was 1 day out of warrantee and they would not do anything for me. No more Hovabators for me.
So GAQuail you are right .The 4200 is not a hovabotor. It is the model Jeffers offered me as an "upgrade" to my Hova Bator that was not working properly, at a reduced rate. I'm going to return it. Disgusted with new incubators.
I am having terrible problems with 2 different hovabators. I called the manufacturer and the women I spoke to was very tight lipped. I had to pry information out of her. My Hova bator 4200 is a replacement for a cheaper model that I struggled with for a year which kept killing my chicks near...

I am disappointed...
Nothing but failure with my new Hova-bator. The one in the $90.00 price range. My last Hova-bator lasted at least 25 years with easy, successful results. I just posted a thread to see if others have had trouble too.
