Oh my goodness yay, thank you so much! She was the second one we ever hatched and has been such a love bug. I’m so glad she’ll be an egg layer for us. I love her to bits.
The red on the beak is a reflection of the heat lamp lol she is our bantam polish's baby but no idea on dad haha likely our barred rock! Her name is lucky ♡
Whew okay so after almost 24 hours she or he just dort of stretched and cracked that egg I'm two and bam was born. Craziest thing! They have not stopped chirping since 😂 I'll post photos later on once they've dried out and calmed down some! Pretty sure they're from my polish bantam ( I have...
Is it okay that he's Had absolutely no progress 12 hours now since first pip? The egg next to him in the photo just hatched completely. I can see him breathing hard. Hear him chirping and sometimes it looks like he wants to come out but almost like he can't.
Three have hatched perfectly so far out of the 15.
This one seems to be more tired as I can see it breathing pretty hard. And the pip seems to be a LOT lower than the others. Advice?
I've got 15 in lockdown! 2 hatched around 245 am. No other signs of piping from the others. Air sack is huge, but I'm not seeing much movement. I candles to check because two days ago we lost power for 2 hours and it got down to 78 in the broaders. Is it like human pregnancy that close to birth...
Thank you haha my husband is teasing me for watching them through the incubator window so much haha! He says I wasn't even this anxious when I was the one waiting to have our baby 😂 It's my first time ever having babies from an animal I raised myself so they're a special bunch to me!
I have two eggs that have piped, and it's just the initial poke hole. One egg is wiggling around a lot the other is still. It's been about 3 ish hours with no progress other than wiggling. Is that okay? I'm an anxious mess lol
These are two girls I got from a local man who shrugged when I asked what they are. I want to say the black one is an austrolorp but her egg color is what confuses me. The white hen I have no idea haha attached are the hens and their eggs respectively.
I got her from tractor supply last year and she lays dark brown almost chocolate colored eggs that sometimes have dark almost red speckles! I wouldnt even really say she's white.. more like cream
