Thats why they're called "chickens" 'cause they're afraid of anything new! Just be patient, it has to be their idea or they're suspicious of it.
I had my brooder in the coop and once they were feathered enough I cut a hole in the end of the brooder for them to get out and explore the...
Drumstick, as I understand it bats can't fly from "off the ground" they must drop off something and then they can fly. Some time bats get off course and fly into some place they shouldn't and then can't get out. If it was ill I don't think it would have "flown away " like it did after...

yanmar, My coop is a ways from my house but I am going to run ethernet cable. You can run 300 feet with ethernet cable with no problem. It is more reliable than a wireless connection. A 300' spool WITH ends can be bought online for around 50-60 bucks. Just my 2 cents!
I like it! How difficult was the software to set up the camera? Also how far from the roost is the camera? I am trying to figure out how far away my camera would have to be mounted to get all the coop in the shot.
Thanks
I thought my four year old daughter would enjoy them and it would be good way to learn about responsibilty and chores. I also just like to watch chickens and taking care of them, its relaxing to me.
