When I start seeing the bullseye I'll pop a few in the incubator and candle in 7 days to see if they're developing. If they are I hatch them, if not I try again in a week or so.
This is the plan for the bantam eggs

I'll be moving the 2 week old outside today so I clean the brooder and have it ready for the new hatches.
I use to kill myself spreading pine shaving in their run. At one point I left a bag in the yard for a few days and they ripped it open and scattered it. They did a better job than I did, so now I just open the bags and leave the pile for them to scatter. Sometimes I'll mix in some mealworms to...
I lost most in the beginning after a day or so because I rushed when I was assisting, patience is the key.
The trick is to help slowly. Small bits around the pip and wait an hour or so before helping more. Give the chick time and see if it can free itself. Waiting allows them to work their...

I have one of those. It maintained the best temp and humidity out of 5-6 incubators I tried, but I forgot about the rod after candling and lost a few days of turning. I had to assist several chicks at hatch.
That could work. All the eggs in the larger incubator are from my flock.
On day 17 (Sunday) for the bantam eggs I'll remove two of the egg racks and unplug the turner. Since bantams tend to hatch at the early end of lockdown they should be ok.
I kinda had an epiphany as I was writing that. I had to go back and check my timeline. There were two batches of chicks, hatched from my own eggs, and they didn't get sick after the TSC chicks.
I guess I'll relax and see how things go. If they get sick I know the dosages to use to treat them.
It seems the eggs on top drop a bit when the turner switches directions. I would be concerned that might cause hairline cracks in the eggs on top and in the turners. You may not be able to see them until you candle. I hope not, but it wouldn't hurt to check them before you get to far into the hatch.
Return them if they're not what you ordered. In some cases, if you call Amazon customer service you can get your money back and keep the item. It isn't always worth it to Amazon to get the item back.
I have like 5 incubators  it's space to set them up that I'm running short on. Especially when they're hatching, I have to keep them out of reach of Daisy, my dog, she likes to bonk the incubator when chicks pop out of the egg 😂 .
Second incubator loaded with 20 eggs. I had to ditch one of the white bantam eggs.
I plan to move the chicks that are in the brooder out tomorrow . . . that's as far as I got with the plan.
I still need to figure out what to do about the 4 bantam eggs that are only a week away from...
