Ok I have 2 broody silkies one I moved from the farm home with 14 eggs. Then she has kept 12 under her.
The other one had one egg(no roo) went broody. I put 6 eggs under her and she kept them for one day, then they were all over the floor, except the one she laid(smart). Last night we stuck 12...
I would say we got 3-5 inches atleast but not much wind. I forgot how much it sucks to have snow dragged in . Wet socks !! Hope all is well for the fellow Iowan's.
It looks like the snow is missing us, but we need the rain July 16 the last measurable amount of rain. How is everyone else for rainfall we just get missed last few rains. I went and visited silkie sue 5 and a half hours worth every minute of it. Here is just one of the boys at about 6 months.

I really like your east indies. They are such a cool color. I wish the color patterns on chickens was as distinct on chickens as ducks, pigeons and quail. I can't believe it is getting that time of year already. The cold takes alot of the fun out of it.
Good luck to all of you at the shows! I wish I could be there , but I have to work this weekend. I am meeting Mark next Sunday so I still have that to look forward to. Just seems there is never enough time in the day lately.
