I just went up to my hens to double check. The skin looks normal it is just the chest area that looks slightly red in parts. I will put some mite and lice powder on her as soon as possible, and will look out for scratching.
Thanks chicmom for your reply.
Hello,
i have recently noticed that one of my hens have got a big clump of feather missing on her neck and chest. I have check for mites but non has been found.
I am worried for her and i am just hoping she may be just molting?
Please put my mind to rest, anyone know what this could be?
