That’s all good news! Thank you! I will def update in a few weeks ☺️
Yay I hope pullet! It’s such a sweet bird and so soft. I want to be able to keep it!
@Chickbemine sorry for asking on your thread! There are some very smart people on here 😍
Also, you can kinda see the other one that looks like a sibling hiding behind. The comb and wattles on that one are smaller and less pink. The barring is less prominent on that one too compared to the one in front.
I got it from a feed store with the other two in that run. They said all the chicks were 1.5-2.5 months old. The barred ones are decent sized. I’m thinking they’re 2-2.5 months old.
I posted a photo when I first got them and someone said it’s prob a male. We’ll see. I got them at a feed store and they had everyone all mixed together and said everyone was 1.5-2.5 months old. So I don’t even know how old they are lol. I’m thinking the barred ones are 2-2.5 months cause...
I’ve found a couple breeds with the dark plumage that lay colored eggs. You got lucky and got one! I have one too but she’s laying brown unfortunately. They’re such pretty birds.
Pic is a little dark. There’s a CL in with them. The one on the left I fear is a male based on the barring and the comb. I’m going to be so sad to have to give him up. No idea what breeds they’re mixed with!
Yours look so similar to mine! Mine have the cream feathers on their neck like Rain. Love the names 😍 Mine are Jazz and Sunny. And I hope it’s not till 30+ weeks! 20ish is so much closer lol
Found your pics! lol. My girls’ combs look nothing like yours but now I know how they prob will look when they get to POL! These are mine. I think they’re one of the prettiest chickens. Are you going to end up breeding? Or trying the F1 route?
That’s great! I can’t wait till mine start laying. They’re 16 weeks too so I know I probably have a month or more. Their combs are still so tiny and zero pink or red in them. Did your CL’s comb get pretty big? What age did she start to lay?
