We have an assortment of 22 that we bought as chicks in early to mid march. Except for the Bantams, they are now a little larger than a pigeon, have all their feathers with no fuzz left, but still peep. Night time temps dropping to low 50's a couple nights a week. Are we ready for the move...

Hen unknown age, production cross. Fluffs her neck feathers, arches her neck, snakes her head side to side. looks healthy, eating scratching, normal pecking order aggression. No open mouth breathing. no gagging or coughing. ??

not sure where I read.. and cannot vouch for the suggestion... but it does sound like it has merit. The author had said that with an aggressive roo, to try and swat or kick at it, is just reinforcing the instinct to fight. The author suggested instead to catch the roo and carry them tucked...

seems like one of my chickens are always a little sick.. one has a cough then it gets better.. one has noisy breathing.. rooster has an occasional cough.. periodically one hen or another has a droopy day or two.. one of them is laying wrinkly eggs.. and one of them having watery stools...

so sorry for your loss
