We just moved into a new house and the yard needs a lot of work. We want to replace the grass (actually just weeds at this point). What are some chicken safe/beneficial ground covers that are also good for pollinators? We were thinking about white clover? Has anyone had experience with that?

This was the first time they've had something other than their crumbles. I had seen someone recommend putting some grit in with their food to teach/encourage them to eat it. I have a small dish with grit in it for them. Also, I'm growing some "cat grass" for them as we speak! 😊
My chicks are 2 weeks old and today they got their first taste of cabbage! I chopped it really fine and sprinkled a little of their crumbles and some chick grit on top. At first they were scared (which I found hilarious), but it seems like that feeling disappeared quickly lol.
