Here in the Pacific Northwest there have not been a great many sumatras shown. Judges have there own views and since I know the judge and he might have missed it that day. There are a couple breeders of large in Vancouver area that have some decent LF.
Looking for some good quality largefowl black sumatras from either Richard Schock lines or Carl Fosbrink. Also some good quality black sumatra bantams. Looking for either a male or female in each. As well as anyone from Pacific Northwest driving back.
Thanks
Pinched in the back relates to the area from the shoulders to the tail. The back narrows very quickly and you could say it pinches in. This also lends to a narrow tail. As a breeder this a concern because the organs for egg laying and reproduction are in this region and you desire this breed to...
No I did not as all mine are in breeding pens. I am glad you do have some goals and plans for it will take some time to improve that variety. Glad you were out and showing.
Judging the picture the bird seems to be very pinched in the back and high tailed. Buff is not even. I do say the legs were very yellow as I saw the bird in person.
In regard to the vet check certainly would be helpful. Yet if we as breeders and exhibitors were more judiscous in the birds being shown this would not be necessary. If there is a bird of concern go to the show management. If nothing is done pull your birds and get them out.

I have a good friend that has some available - please check on the hatcheries for Feather Hills HAtchery . His contact information is located there. His name is Tony Allbritton.
Thanks
Tim
