    My rooster has lost all of the feathers but not the quill on his tail feathers and back. All he has back there is quills but no feather. I treat the coop with orange guard and domo. earth everytime I clean. I don't know what the deal is.

    'My big man is doing the same thing. He eats fine, poops, but he use to come racing out of the hen house first one in the morning chasing all of the girls around. Now he is not the first out and he only chases a little after awhile. He is eating fine but slouching. I don't understand it.

    Also if they had a parasite maybe if would explain the soft eggs. I have 5 hens and only get about one egg a day now. I do see signs of soft eggs in the coop. They seem to poop them out when they are on the roost at night. Crazy chickens!!!! They are very intertaining!!

    The orange guard looks great. But try to find it in a neighborhood store. To order it on line is very expensive. The shipping is more than the product. I will try and let you know how it goes.

    My Plymouth Barred looks swollen in her thigh area and maybe her butt area. She acts find but I have noticed it for awhile. I have had problems with my hens laying soft eggs and no eggs lately. Any ideas? She is 2 years old. I'll post a pic later.
