swollen thighs and butt area

My Plymouth Barred looks swollen in her thigh area and maybe her butt area. She acts find but I have noticed it for awhile. I have had problems with my hens laying soft eggs and no eggs lately. Any ideas? She is 2 years old. I'll post a pic later.

maybe its some kind of mite or worm i suggest getting orange guard at www.orangeguard.com

Thanks. I looked up their web sight. But is it to be sprayed in their coop and next boxes?

The orange guard looks great. But try to find it in a neighborhood store. To order it on line is very expensive. The shipping is more than the product. I will try and let you know how it goes.

Also if they had a parasite maybe if would explain the soft eggs. I have 5 hens and only get about one egg a day now. I do see signs of soft eggs in the coop. They seem to poop them out when they are on the roost at night. Crazy chickens!!!! They are very intertaining!!

Swollen Barred Rock died. She got so sick I had to take her from the hen house because the others started picking on her and attacking her. I tried the orange guard and still use it when ever I clean the coop every 2 weeks. Also the Domi. Earth stuff....I put it on the litter in the coop and in the nests. Hopefully I won't get anymore sick hens. It is not like I can call the chicken doc.
