Yep, Blue Kote the ones you aren't sure about and there eggs will have the Blue Kote on them. I'm assuming you could do the same thing with food coloring too though.

Mine were about 20-21 weeks when they started. I noticed the doing "egg squats" about a week or so before I found my first egg. They layed every other day for the first 6 weeks or so, then started laying almost everyday. now they're almost a year old and lay about 4 eggs a week.

I used golf balls as well. I put a couple in the nest box before my hens started laying. When they did start laying, they all the eggs were in the nest box.

Thanks for your help. The hens have been laying...they haven't slowed down at all. I had 11 and was getting 4-8 eggs a day. Now I only have 7 hens, but still got 7 eggs today.
