There is a lot of pigeons and a lot of pens. Oriental Rollers, Doneks, Racing Homers, Saddle Homers, White Homers, Giant Homers, Fan Tails of both breeds, Bm Rollers and Hubbles. I think that is all the breeds I have out back If all this bird dropping thaw I'll have a lot of work to do, it...
Well it was a nice day BUT I didn't make it to the show. I did have a few guys come by , one got B rollers and a pr of Oriental rollers. The other gut wanted and got 3 pr Indian Fantails. That still leaves to many fan tails and to many rollers. All in all it was a good day, picked rollers...
As you can see, I have NO pictures and come tomorrow I'll have no rollers. The price is right and he wants them 65 birds for $0. Just come and get them. Now just a bunch more birds to go. Nobody wants birds around here, big chicken company's don't want other feathered birds around. 65 birds...
I wished I could brag on the rollers, out of 60 birds only a hand full are good. I got rid of a bunch and it seems they were the ones doing all the rolling. I have both Show and FOR Orientals, The hawks didn't show up this year YET to thin out for me. As for the Doneks, I haven't got them going...
Really want close by people so I don't have to ship or try to get pictures. Have to many birds, not wanting to give them away BUT I have to reduce the load some how.
There is Doneks, Or.Rollers, Ber. Rollers White Homers and a couple fan tails(Indian) also a couple pair of Giant Homers.
I'm looking for somebody in or around NorthWest Arkansas That would like to start or add to their pigeon raising. I have several breeds, some flying type and some show type. Get back to me if you have an entrest. Larry.
Thanks for the pics. It looks like I needed to be there. Everything here was froozen and I couldn't make it. Getting water out at this time of year can be a chore in itself. Wished I had been there. Larry
I have straight Giant Homers and striaght Hubbles that I cross and get some nice big babies but when and if I run those crosses they produce a slightly smaller bird. They all taste the same but pluck differant. The U kings don't compare in size but are easier to pluck. I parent birds are pets...
I enjoy my birds, I like to watch them fly, Those that are flying breed/ rollers. I like to watch them strut around, fan tails and others that are just pretty. Then there are those that were breed for dinning and I have yet eatten one alive SO it must be killed.
Yes, tell me how to cook them . It just so happens that I have a few ready. So before they hit the freezer I'll try something new. I'm ready, birds at hand and an unburnt pan standing by.
Once the bird is over cooked it gets a strong taste. I'm married to a woman that can burn a pan real fast , but I don't eat burnt pans and I'm picky about what was in that pan besides charred what ever. I keep trying to find different ways to cook them that everybody likes but it all comes...
It does not taste like chicken. If you don't like to eat game birds you won't like it. There are many ways to fix it to taste different. I raise birds to fly and some to eat, I am the only one in the family that likes them. I was raised a bird hunter and if you cann't eat it don't kill it...
