Thing is though, I would think she was eggbound, but she laid yesterday, and she didn't make a fuss or anything. Like normal, every single time she sees us, she runs towards us to eat the food.
Is it possible for a chicken to still be laying AND be eggbound?
No, a dog did not get a hold of her. My 6 chickens are the only pets in my house & yard. Yes, that is poop, we discovered this today when we tried to clean it off of her.

Your RIR's molted? Mine hasn't molted yet, I didn't even know they were supposed to molt.
So just to make sure, are RIR's supposed to molt? Thanks!
I forgot to mention, I think it might be a rupture but I'm not exactly sure. When I googled, I didn't come up with much. If I get her to stop laying, do you think it will reduce these symptoms? Does anyone know how to safely make a hen stop laying? Thanks so much!
Hi guys! This is my first time on the forum.
I have a Rhode Island Red hen that is a year and two weeks old and something wierd is happening to her.
I don't know if this is a disease, if she's molting, or it's just plain out unexplainable but I'll try my best to describe it;
