    I was told that during molting season, you can give sunflowers seeds to add protien. The label says 9% protien, same as scratch, yet not as much as 16% feed. Sunflowers or not?

    Two questions , 1) On two of my roosters , their legs have turned partially pink. If it was my leg I would be going for a tetnus shot. They act, walk, and seem perfectly normal. What's up? 2) Do I have two many roosters? 22 Hens , 5 Roosters , 2 Guineas. If so what will the problems be?

    Roosting in nests

    I go out about 8:00 pm and cover the nests so there is no one in the nests between 8:00 pm and 6:00 am when I open the run for free range. It is just during the heat of the day that I have this problem.
