My mother in law has a salmon faverolle who is low on the pecking order, but sweet as can be. She is hoping she gets to keep the bird. No roos where she lives.
I know silkies can be hard. So I no longer have the buff and I am waiting on the white. My fingers are crossed for pullet, but also it also likes to chest bump others.
He is. And really hate to see him go. I am not supposed to have roosters where I am, but I also live in a bit more rural part of the suburb where roosters can be kept in an acre or more so there are roosters in the area. I would keep him but he is just too big for my old English bantam hen to...
I have a 5 month old Houdan. It has yet to lay an egg or to crow. The feathers make me think female, but the waddles make me think male. I can’t have roosters and I had a silkie crow last week, so if I have to rehome, I want to do it at the same time.
I was really hoping that the polish would be a pullet! I have too many Roos...the dangers of straight run bantams at the feed stores. I know that I have at least 4 of my 7 that are Roos. Time for some rehoming.
Thanks. I love my mixed Banty flock. Too bad that so far I have 5 out of 7 that are roosters. I have 5 in the brooder and one of those is a roo too. I just can’t win this year!
