Need help with Houdan

I have a 5 month old Houdan. It has yet to lay an egg or to crow. The feathers make me think female, but the waddles make me think male. I can’t have roosters and I had a silkie crow last week, so if I have to rehome, I want to do it at the same time.

x2. If it is 5 months, no saddle or hackle feathers are observable. Pretty pullet.

Those are some huge wattles, that's for sure!

I agree with other posters though and also think pullet.. noting the paleness of said wattles.

It would be nice though to get a view of that hidden comb for confirmation. I mean, I think I might just be trying to get more pics out of ya!

Also noting that some roosters crow very late at 18+ month. And hens can crow and grow spurs.. not usually pullets though. I've had one Silkie cockerel crow as early as 3 weeks!

He is. And really hate to see him go. I am not supposed to have roosters where I am, but I also live in a bit more rural part of the suburb where roosters can be kept in an acre or more so there are roosters in the area. I would keep him but he is just too big for my old English bantam hen to handle.
