Hi :) can anyone help please...These were sold as pullets (they are supposed to be welsummers and legbars) and are roughly around 7 weeks I’m wondering if a few are actually cockerels though.. some quite large combs and wattles..
will try and get some better photos tomorrow if needed :)View attachment 2196327View attachment 2196328View attachment 2196329View attachment 2196330View attachment 2196331
Where did you get them? Two look to be cockerels so far.
Hi
Have had this chicken for 5 weeks and no eggs yet. At purchase was told it was 21 weeks old. No rooster noises or other noticeable behaviour, but also no eggs. Can you tell Pullet or Cockerel? And any idea on breed?

Alright, I was wondering if you could sex my 4 and a half week old white Silkie bantam chick, who is now 5 and a half weeks old. I will post some pictures of he/she at 6 weeks old soon! The top 2 are he/she at only a couple days of age!
Too young for a silkie

I got them from a poultry farm - they didn’t hatch this lot themselves though.
I’ve been watching them today, and two are definitely cockerels, and I’m thinking another 3 are... so 5 possible cockerels out of 11!
the farm are taking back any males thankfully 😅

They aren’t welsummers or legbars. They look to be dorking mixes. Maybe they have some welsummer or legbar in them, but they’re not purebred.

What about my silkie and polish? They are 14 weeks.

These are my 3 week old chicks (should be pullets I know it might be to early to tell). The breeds should be a white leghorn, cuckoo marun, and blue cocin.

Could you get pictures of the polish’s saddle feathers? The silkie looks like a cockerel, but I’m not experienced with that breed.

The first is a cockerel, rest are too young to tell.

The black chicken in front in the first picture is a cockerel, and your polish is a pullet.
I was really hoping that the polish would be a pullet! I have too many Roos...the dangers of straight run bantams at the feed stores. I know that I have at least 4 of my 7 that are Roos. Time for some rehoming.
