Barnevelder chicks, different feathering patterns, boys vs girls.

I know this thread is old, but
These 4 DSL Barnevelders are 3 weeks old today. I noticed their patterns doing this. That would be amazing if I got 3 hens and a rooster! Lol! 😂

So far, my DSL Barnevelders are 5 weeks old and now the combs are developing more. It's looking to me now like 2 girls and 2 boys. And the one that was the odd one out, sparse colors, is looking to be one of the girls.
The picture shows what I think is 2 males and 1 female to the left.

Update: They are now 4 months old
2 boys
2 girls

The darker one was a girl!

So for future reference, to anyone thinking the difference in color is possibly showing male versus female (like I was), that is not a tale tale sign. I liked how someone here on BYC had said they're more like freckles, everyone is unique like a snowflake and just has different markings. 😉

I'll add pictures. I had already gotten rid of one as soon as I thought he was a boy. So the pictures are of one boy and the 2 girls. The last picture is the dark chick as a pullet. 😊
