Way too over simplified, to the point that accessing info and threads you want to see is too time consuming for something that should be a click away. Shouldnt have to click twice to get to forum topics are, the area that shows ALL forum topics available. dislike that new posts the way new posts...
My girls are TSC girls, black and red as well as Silkie mixes and three pure silkies and a bunch of crested polish. out of 10 laying birds, i got 8 eggs yesterday, which is pretty normal since the silkie girls dont always lay. We will see today, it was COLD last night up here in MA.
I plan on doing this as well!!!! Such a fantastic endeavor. Im glad there are still people interested in it. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication and TIME!
Why dosnt she like her litter box?
Get Natures Miracle to clean up the messes. Even if you wipe it off, cats can still smell their own urine and that keeps them peeing in that same spot, no matter what you might try, you need a cleaning product thats going to break down the urine entirely...
if you go through my posts, youll see a hen that was badly injured by one of my other birds. She recovered very well! It was GRUESOME but she pulled through entirely. So just pay attention, keep an eye on the temperature that lamp is producing ( dont overheat either!) and just keep on the bird...
I may start putting her out, in the pen/coop in the day, with JUST the other little birds ( while the big ones are out in the run) so shes socializing, under supervision, of course. Shes truly healing so well. Skin is very normal colored again, just scabby and bare. Im not worried anymore about...

Open windows would create more drag, thusly more pressure on a structure. Thats why open windows in cars while driving make it less aerodynamic. I would not open windows, but secure them tightly!
Im moving all the girls into the basement saturday night/sunday day, because unfortunately i have to work for most of the day during the storm, and i would hate that my SO would have to be running around catching birds.
If you cant move them indoors for this, for the day, Make sure there arent...
Neosporin WITHOUT painkiller is perfectly ok! Just make SURE it has none of the painkiller, it is lethal to birds.
Im going through the same thing, albeit a bit more NASTY looking due to a chick being picked on by one of the girls. ( integrating flocks) Were on day three, i believe and so far...
So far littlechick is still feisty and eating and drinking. Though she might fidget while i put ointment on, shes not HATING every minute of it, and i dont need to restrain her to do it. Just let her perch on a hand.
Still applying polysporin to the wound, and nothing seems to be turning sour...
