I did, and in the Ducks forum too, but those posts were removed and I was told it belongs here. Thanks.

Ducks in Jacksonville, FL area need a new home!

My ducks need a new loving home. 1 male/female pair of Pekins, and 1 male/female pair of Khaki Campbells. Approximately 1.5 years old. Not laying currently but when they do I get 1-2 eggs per day. They are healthy and have never had any problems. Must stay together. I will deliver. No...

OMGosh - WHAT is this growth?! Warning gross graphic

I'd be very interested in seeing the pics if you feel you're able to take them. Sorry it's come to this. It's a hard decision, do what you feel is best.

    Chick with swollen contracting bottom.

Straight run means they could be male or female, they are not sexed. (Just FYI) Maybe you could post a few pics, to let the more experienced gauge the age of the bird, and maybe of its bottom?

Mixing Hen Scratch with Flock Raiser? Safe For 12 week old?

What is the purpose of feeding scratch? Is it cheaper than feed and therefore stretches the food out?

    Todays eggs (1 tiny egg).

So cute and tiny! Barred Babies, how long does an egg take to dry out in the fridge?

Help!! Has anybody had this happen with a kitty?

My cat had the tilted head and wobbly walking, the vet said it was a vestibular thing. In her case she eventually recovered. Could be neurological, could be a lizard they ate, I suppose it could be poison, but it's good that it's eating. Good luck, I hope it turns out ok.

Ducks just started laying, when should I try hatch some eggs?

Hi Shellie, my ducks are doing good, and I saw that picture you posted and saw the Pekin. I'm glad he's doing good. I ended up giving the new babies to Jamie. It was kind of a crazy time for me and just couldn't handle them too. How are your new babies doing?

I just stictched my first chicken.

I've not done that myself, but was thinking I'd probably use glue instead of the suture. I hope little chicky makes it.

Ducks just started laying, when should I try hatch some eggs?

Hi, thanks for the replies. I have 2 drakes also. I'm in Florida and while we are generally warmer, I will take that into consideration. Just tossing the idea around at this point. Thanks.

Ducks just started laying, when should I try hatch some eggs?

My 2 ducks started laying a few weeks ago. I was wondering how long I should wait until I try to hatch some. I have a Pekin and a Khaki.

    Egg turning gray?

Duckielub, can you put a piece of cloth or paper towel loosely over top the gray egg, just in case it is bad so the "explosion" is contained somewhat? Will that affect the egg if it's still good?

Not to be insensitive; when babies have to be culled.

Pegram, I'm sorry I didn't mean to imply that what you did was wrong. From the posts that I've read on here, it seemed like freezing was 1 possible way to do it, and I'd be more likely to do that than decapitation. I just find the topic interesting (sad, but interesting). Hugs to you. This...

Blueing comb, lethargic, puffy chest and threw up black stinky liquid!

If it is rat poison, I believe the antidote is Vitamin K, but I'm not sure how much or where you would get that other than a vet. Oh, and that antidote is for people and dogs, I'm assuming it's the same for chickens.

Not to be insensitive; when babies have to be culled.

I've been very curious about this. I've been lucky and have not needed to cull any so far. I know the day might come when an adult is sick or badly injured. I've been thinking about hatching out a few ducklings too. I'm not sure what I'd do, but I don't think I can handle the decapitation...
