I haven't had birds in about a year. I miss them and am looking to start a new flock. I need birds that are both winter hardy and are fairly good fliers so as to escape a nasty fox that frequents the area. Suggestions?

I just got some from lovemychix for my ducks. They work wonderfully. The pouch part is lined. I put half a maxi pad in the bottom to catch any liquids and just dump the rest out in the trash. They rinse off nicely. I'm really happy with them.

I used rabbit waterers for this year's chicks. They did well with them.....other than the fact that they all wanted to use the same one at the exact same moment! It was much easier for me....no spillage, no muck....but I was never sure they were getting enough water. When they had the choice...

My new babes were out with the flock today. The lovely black old-timer promptly started teaching them all her bad habits....like eating all the flowering buds off the bushes around the walkway!
