    Is this behavior normal? Muscovy

Ducks can definitely be that way if not heavily interacted with from the start, most of my muscovy were duck raised so were not tame, eventually they will get used to you being around and learn you are the food, water person... 'Scovies love food. As they get older you can offer some treats and...

    Not A Poll Just Curious

No after chicken math got hold.... we quickly expanded into other breeds. Current layer flock, are some blue egg layers mixed in with some layers day choice pullets. We still have a wee bit of our silkies from forever ago, who just got "friends" some sebright's because of my Son's ex company...

Have done, she nibble a bit she is still suffering from a lot of trauma(no wonder, eh?) we are treating the remaining eye but i am not very hopeful. She is standing and we did give her a bath which she responded well too. Going to start a separate thread on caring and keeping a blind duck...

Call duck hatching babies--any care advice?

I would definitely separate her and the babies. I even did this within my call flock(I had a large pen of females, who often all nested in different areas or shared nests) ALso very big caution on the pools, while they swim well getting in/out can be a concern, i switched to cake pans lol while...

Feeding call duck who was attacked by coon

I can get her to drink normally, the eating part is the issue. I would put her back but other than one other little drake baby from last year, that entire flock is dead. Yeah.

Feeding call duck who was attacked by coon

Keeping this short and to the point. I have a call who had been attacked by a coon last Friday, she is recovering however while we have been able to help her drink as well as provide electrolyte water, food is concerning, what do i do? baby formula, soak the staple feed we already use, a baby...

    Call duck colour identification help

So cute! I agree about the blue fawn, i also question the possibility of pastel. I am terrible at call colors despite breeding and owning for years lol I typically only get grey BUT do have a new baby this year with a color i have never seen, so somebody got someones egg that wasn't their own..

    Muscovys--Worth It Or Not?

I have only ever free ranged mine, i personally don't find them suitable for penning up overall. They were my first step into birds period basically a decade ago now. I have owned dozens, upon dozens of them(scovies) sold, bought, bred, eggs the whole thing.. Can't comment on the meat end as i...
