They always have access to water, and are being fed choock grain blended up to be smaller.

I have a three day old jap quail who, as of this afternoon, only walks backwards with its head down, and to the left. What could be causing this? It is housed in a Styrofoam incubator with two other chicks.

I just unexpectedly hatched some jap quail (first time!) Can someone explain why the birds need to be moved out of the incubator? Why can't I raise them in the incubator? Two have hatched and there are two more eggs. What are the main differences between an incubator and a brooder?
