    Well things changed some and we are now having radiation treatments daily to try to manage the cancer there before working on the lungs. We will just keep fighting as long as it takes and thank you all for your prayers and well wishes as it seems to be helping!

    It is a very sad day for my family... Wife in hospital diagnosed with with advanced lung cancer today.... She went in feeling bad, we had no clue... It has also reached her brain... We need your prayers or good vibes... Barb is only 51.... There is nothing they can do at this...

    Home Depot has netting, I use the stuff labeled "Deer Netting as it comes in larger sections the bird netting. It is black and lasts many years before the sun gets it, but inexpensive and easily replaced. It can be ordered online in larger rolls as well.... Our PVC has been up for several years...

    They are tied to the pig/rabbit fence, but you can also use sections of re bar and slide the PVC over them to keep in place....

    You are very welcome Noel, try propping it open with something until they figure out there is food in there then remove the prop.... worked for us. Glad the feeders are working well for you!

    Yes one can use plastic sheeting, but in that case there would be allot of wind resistance and the first big monsoon or dust devil would likely destroy it with the 1/2 inch PVC frame so a much sturdier frame of say 1-1/2 PVC would be better. We use the thin stuff for the netting and it is on...

    Thought I would share a shot of the garden, we use bird netting over PVC or we get nothing here because the darn birds destroy everything. No wind resistance with the netting so 1/2 inch PVC works well for us (unglued) Not as fancy as many but gets the job done for us. Bin in back is compost bin...
