Bats eat mosquitoes. Mosquitoes bite me and the other humans, and bite and deliver fowl pox t the chickens. (and heart worm to dogs if I didn't give her heartgard). Bats are beautiful!

Pearl is adorable. I am such a novice. What is the purpose of keeping goats?
For pets? Now I sound like the people who ask me why I am keeping chickens

Call and lodge a complaint.

I called today - they asked me to send photos and I did. They apologized and then refunded me the money I paid for the ones that turned out to be roos. Unfortunately, that amount doesn't cover all the feed over the last 4 months.

Anyway, I am going to cull most of those roos this weekend - at least maybe they can provide a little food. We'll see how it goes. It will be my first culling experience. Then, I will purchase some more (hopefully pullets!) to replace the ones I lost and start over. I think I'm going to get some new chicks from our local feed store this time and try that out.

Meat, milk and lovely pets. Great for keeping weeds down. Some city uses goats for weed control. We breed for pets.

My daughter wants goats also. We live on about 1/5th acre. I told her no way. Between the turtles, tortoise, dog and chickens I think we have enough.
