Candeling doesn't necessarily hurt or disturb the eggs at all. You can actually candel them for a half hour eah day if you wanted and they'd be fine. And you're definitely right about nature taking its course:) You can never go wrong with that one!

The temp's good, i think. And now that i think about it, pulling the ventilation plug won't make a big difference right now. But you really should check...

Don't pull the plugs!!! You should individually check each egg and which ever one seems promising, keep them. But if any are really...well, dead-looking/acting, then you should keep the promising ones and work on them.

I have two small english rats. Both of my babies are girls. I hope on getting a pair of rabbits, want them to be a breeding pair, but still haven't decided what breeds or colours just yet.
You should get a wading pool filled with ice and add chicken wire-covered windows and use a mister on them several times a days. Hope it helps! Good luck and cluck cluck:)

The first roo is pretty awesome too, he usually gives the girls access to the treats before he takes any and this is the first time he has bitten me....
That's good! Although the third one is pretty cute and has alot of potential, the first one is prob your best pick. If you really...
Oh my gosh!!!!! I LOVE ORPS!!!! @laura lou: Your hen is soooo sweet-looking and that is a totally adorable picture!!!!!!! I plan on getting some orps of my own soon to add to my flock. I decided i would when my friend got a few, and as soon as i met them, i fell in love:love I promise to put up...
rancher hicks is right with the third rooster, but the first roo sounds good also. My roo used to be very much like the 1st roo you mentioned. But then i gave him a special treatment kind of thing where i was the only one in my family who fed him treats, and interacted with him. We did that for...
So very sorry, hun if anything did happen. but, since it is a still-air bator, and the temperature wasn't below 95, you might still have a chance. Eggs in an incubator like that can go 7 whole days and the chicks still be fine as long as it never went below 95. When you last checked them, what...
Maybe there's something going on all together. Have you been getting visited by racoons or opposums lately? Or do you live by an airport nearby?
Or could be that she is bossing around the pullets because she is not comfortable with them yet. Also, if you have changed diet lately for them...
You have a good goal, and a good start. Hope you post pictures when you hit your goal!!! It really ought to be interesting:) You should trying getting one of your 4th or 5th generation hens to breed with a Mille Fleur D'ulle roo or gold phoenix roo. I really suggest it: dealt with cross-breeding...
So cute!!!! This time in the process is really expectant. You are going to LOVE bonding with your new babies once they hatch and get old enough for you to really interact with them. And it is such a sweet moment when you watch them hatch; it's really a beautiful experience. One little dot of...
If his parents are runners and are dark in colour, then your little duckling might turn out to be white with markings once his adult plummage comes in. But if his parents' parents (grandparents) are light in colour, it might have just skipped a generation. It sure is cute, though:)
