Oh, and by the way, my husband is a lawyer and a stickler for the laws, so we won't be doing the chickens on the sly. He will help me change the laws if possible, but won't break any. ;-)
Well, I just got through to the Lake County Building Codes folks and they tell me I must have five acres to have chickens. For horses, I can have just two acres. Doesn't seem fair to me. But that is in unincorporated Lake County. My only hope, then, is some village or town in the county that...
I am doing that, but there is a lot of bureaucracy to go through -- I was hoping someone here might be able to give me a couple towns, etc. for some places to start where I might not hit another brick wall. Thanks again!
