That's a lot of useful information, thanks!
Unfortunately I didn't take photos of what was inside the eggs, but the small one was yolk only and the bigger one was like a normal egg, yolk and white.
What concerns me now is that she went to the nesting box yesterday and today as the first thing...
You've had these birds 2 weeks you said... do you know if they ever roosted before at their previous home? Not all breeders/farms provide roosts so they may have never learned.
Have you tried manually putting them on the bars at night?
So the coops you have pictured aren't actually the ones...
I have 6 standard-sized 8 week olds in a brooder that I'm about to put outside in their new coop/run. I have another set of 6 mixed bantam 4 week olds in a separate brooder. They'll all eventually be in the same run/coop. I have no other older chickens in the run.
My 8 week olds definitely...
Really depends on the temperatures and if the underside of the coop provides sufficient deep shade if you do have high temperatures.
Best to post your questions separately in the future, it's not relevant to OP's original question.
Temperatures are fine. Timeline may or may not work, you'll need to play it by ear based on how the older birds react. How many older birds and how old?
This is the current coop your flock is housed in, or this is temporary while the chicks get used to being outside? If the former, how large...
I have both + 10 others + milk thistle. I am thinking how to bring my goats to take care of that. the overgrown area is not fenced and they might easily damage my garden and trees.
I would also give probiotics because the worms are already taking a toll on them and the dewormer will be a bit harsh so you’ll want to fortify their guts as much as possible.
