Fortunately I found out there's a swap near us quite often. And this chick's 11 year old owner is cool with sending chick to a friend's farm and picking up a guaranteed hen.
Kylo Hen's comb is not growing as fast, it seems, so maybe she was just in a bawkward growing phase. Updated picture.. still huge compared to the other girls, and very scared at being picked up and being anywhere but her bin.
Thanks a bunch! I am definitely going to keep an eye on it. We have friends who live out in the county who offered to take in any roos, so once we know for sure, chickie has a home. :)
We can only have pullets, and this little buddy is the one I'm most worried about. Kylo Hen's an Asian Black from TSC and she's been bigger than her sisters the whole time. She's 3-4 weeks old, so I know it might be a little early.
