The ideal number of hens for one rooster is about 7-10 (I know, I have too many roos ). You have three pullets for one cockerel right now. That is probably ok for the time being. If you can, maybe you could get one or two more hens but you don't need eight to keep him happy.- TheKindaFarmGal

I agree with the rest...all are EE, one cockerel & three pullets. Can you not keep roosters where you are?- TheKindaFarmGal
