Do you have any neighbors who dislike chickens? We just had a friend who lost 8 chickens in one night, no cause she could find but when she had necropsies done- all had poison in them. I am not sure what kind but whatever it was the cops questioned the neighbors and traced the poison to one...

Just got back to FL today... 75 degrees here after a nice frost on the rental car up there! LOL It is now official.. I am moving to Ohio :) Looking for a place in the Vandalia area, will be moving in December! Excited and terrified both lol

Our biggest problem is that we have to wait for our house in FL to sell before we buy. We've been hoping to find somewhere we can rent with enough room for them until we find a place to buy. Any leads would be appreciated! We are going to be looking in the areas around Englewood.

I will have to see if we can find a place to stay where we can have my babies! I know I can find them a good home here, so I am not worried about that. I just don't want to giveup my "cheep thera py " lol

I just figured out I won't be able to bring my flock to Ohio with me! We're going to rent a place while we look for a house and I have never heard of boarding chickens :( We have 7 cochin hens, 2 bantam cochin roos, 1 easter egger. And my babies- 7 silkies, 1 EE, 1 buff something or other...

Our humidity here even now is at 95+ % lol its like trying to breathe under water! I can handle humid, I can handle heat... But I can't handle both at the same time lol

Thanks for the info - will look into those areas. Going to have weather shock from Florida up to there! Won't miss the humidity but not used to snow and cold anymore! LOL
