It's 10x10 with a 15x20 run (I think) I have about 3x10ft of storage space inside. The only downside thus far is my hubby put the poop board up and the door separating the inside up...and I'm concerned about the roosting space being too small. As it sets...they'll have 7-8" of roosting space...
Is the only 'requirement' is that they are feathered out? I have 15 chicks in a 3x4 brooder...which will last them till about a month. (space wise). Pending everyone has feathers, and the coop is built...could I put them outside? I'd prefer not to have to run extension cords for a heat...
Sounds great! I think our next set of chickens (I just got my first a lil over a week ago!) I'll try to hatch out. I didn't know that about still air, so thanks for the info! And WELCOME!
They kinda have..my oldest Jack (6) says he's going to call one "Jill". Nick (4) says he's going to name one "soup" (daddy helped on that one!). We have 15 and the only ones I can tell apart right now are the RIR, and the SLW. I think I know which ones are BR. But the BR, Australorps and my...
2 of my little fuzzy ones..the rest were hard to get a hold of! They still run from me (as to be expected though- they're only a few days old!) My kids are enthralled with them!
My lil fluffy butts arrived this AM! I lost one SLW pretty early on. Everyone else seems to be doing pretty good! I'll get some pictures up soon!! By the way they came from Meyer.
Learn something new everyday! I knew about the wyandottes..ugh I need more coffee in my life!! Thanks for getting me together!! I seriously can't wait to get going!
I'm crazy new to all the chicken stuff, I might have it wrong...when I say BR I'm going with Barred Rocks( black and white striped) , what is PR? Plymouth Rocks ? (those are all white right?) For some reason it never crossed my mind that they were the same, just different feathering! LOL...
I actually have BR, GLW, SLW, BAustrolorps, RIR, CW coming all in all! I really thought about getting some EE the colorful eggs, so cute! Maybe next round!!
