Just don't ever hatch australorps and BCMs at the same time!!! They can be almost impossible to tell apart for ages. You'll be able to tell the others apart as soon as they start feathering out

Hey guys if anyone is interested i have some chicks i need to get rid of, they are araucana(tailed....hence is why im not keeping them) and i have an americauna id like to unload as well, they are 4 weeks old FREE i just dont have the space for them and i have a hatch due tomorrow of easter eggers and lemon cuckoo orpingtons

The DeGraff auction is the first Saturday of every month at the stockyard there. Don't remember the name of the business but it's on Koke Street and not hard to find. Starts at 9:00 a.m.
I'm glad we went. Even in February they had a decent selection and the birds all looked healthy and were crated or boxed nicely. There was one crate that was unfortunately severely overcrowded with RIRs but other than that there were no red flags.
Thankfully for as cold as it was, the birds we bought were Lot 2 and 4 and we didn't stay much longer. They had rabbits mixed in with the chickens and there was even 4 or 5 turkeys. I thought it was definitely worth our while to go to (tho to be fair, it's only a 15 minute drive for us). Our Speckled Sussex are healthy and happy and beautiful additions to our flock.
They also run all kinds of livestock in the building but I was afraid I would come home with a goat so I didn't even go in to see what was there!

There is a poultry and livestock auction every other Saturday in Dundee, MI. Haven't been there yet but going this Saturday.
