Well, I don't know if anyone will read this final chapter to the story of Yeti... I found him in the yard on the 17th, in shock, after the hens seemingly ganged up on him. His tail and back feathers had been pulled out and he was pecked badly. I ran him inside to get him warm and give him sugar...

Also, miracle is the best duck ever! She is learning to wear a harness with ease, is cuddly as ever, and has made a new friend with our cat!

I will get pictures later today. Turns out yeti has hook worms and giardia. And possibly Merriks disease. I'm not 100% sure how to treatment the parasites or how to test for Merricks. If yeti does have merreks i will have to euthanize him/her.

Yes miracle is getting bigger and dorkier as the days go by. Since it is winter here i finally had a warm enough day to let her swim, and she is the only duck I've met scared of water!!! She took an hour to actually do anything in the water! Haha. The silkie isn't getting better sadly, but still...

Well I think that is the silkie has coccidia, but every place I look for corid, they are out and won't get another shipment for weeks! I also couldn't find the spray or dust! But on the bright side , miracle is almost triple the size she was at birth!!!!!

She is all pasted with poop and dirty feathers. Could I give her a bath? Would a bath also help get rid of any mites or lice?

How exactly do you hand feed? And this chick doesn't protest AT ALL to being held. Just goes limp.:-\

She told me she throws them her Mexican food leftovers from time to time.... So I'm certain that the poor bird doesn't know how to eat normal food.
