My "Olive" Egger laid another egg today - a bit darker than the one from the other day. It's the egg on the right. Is it possible they will continue to get darker? I always thought eggs got lighter. . . just curious
Thank you all for comments on my "olive" green egg. I'm certainly happy with it, because it's my first colored egg, ever! I have another Olive Egger pullet from Wynette - can't wait to see what color she'll lay.
I guess it's just khaki green - quite disappointing to wait 6 months for an olive egg, and then be told it's not actually olive! Oh well, maybe next time!
The egg looks different colors depending on the lighting. It looks very olive inside, and sort of sage green outside. In some of the pictures it almost looked blue to me - but I swear it's olive!
I got my first Olive Egg today! I hatched this girl from Onthespot's eggs last spring. I was SO excited to find the egg today! It made my weekend! Onthespot, I'd really like some barred eggs when you're selling again. I gave my friend the barred chicks from the hatch and I'm so jealous of...
Hi everyone. I'm quite the lurker on here. Here is a picture of a few of my teenagers, the blue one is an Olive Egger from Onthespot. I also have some olive egger eggs in the bator from Wynette - day 10. Thanks for sharing these unique birds, and as soon as I have her first egg I'll be...
So the light one is a splash??? Maybe it's one of the barred chicks. I got them from Patty (onthespot). Some are barred, I couldn't keep track of who hatched out of what egg.
I'm in the middle of a hatch right now (onthespot eggs) and I'm wondering what color this chick is? Splash? So far 2 Olive Eggers have hatched!
Thanks!
