Well then I choose to discriminate against what I believe to be illogical nonsense that doesn’t contribute to issue at hand. Religion has no place here and it’s not what I want to discuss.
I like the way you think. I respectfully disagree with the jesus thing, but absolutely concur regarding the latter part of that statement. Thanks for your logical input.
A voice of reason.... love it. I hadn’t even thought about them eating bits of carpet and other things in the home that could make them sick or impact the crop. Makes so much sense, and that’s what I love. Logic.
An aversion to a spider is a personal phobia, and a personal opinion. I’m talking about facts. Stop being nasty and leave the thread if I have offended you.
I hear you. I’m not worried about losing friends over it; nobody that I know would ever do this and if they did I would never ever be a houseguest.
I’m just incredulous that there are people who can justify this and wanted to delve deeper into their minds. What I’m finding is a lot of cherry...
Again, not bothering me bc my house is clean and there are no chickens running around in it. I am simply asking for people to explain the mindset behind it (without straying off topic and talking about gods and mythological creation stories). It’s not my fault that people stray off topic and get...
Normal. But are you letting them go where they want, up in your bed to sh*t all over the place? We keep our chicks contained on the back porch, and I can’t even let them out of the brooder to run around bc the first thing they do is crap on the floor and I get sick of cleaning it up.
Again, not an answer. The disease profiles for poultry are completely different to those of cats and dogs. I am aware of bugs and the microscopic germs we unknowingly ingest everyday. That has nothing to do with why someone would allow bacteria covered poultry near where they lay there heads at...
See, that’s what I’m trying to figure out. To each their own can be said about any unhealthy habit - doesn’t explain what people are thinking. I see what comes out of my chickens rear end and I don’t want that anywhere near where I lay my head at night. Why would this not bother someone?
Ok, so I tried to ask somebody why they have pictures of their chickens all over their bed (like, a nice bed with a comforter and everything) and of course, people jumped all over me about it. I really need to know, from rational people who are educated in avian diseases, Why do people do this...
