Today she was much better. Now she has another chicken trying to get in her box while she is laying. Just when I resolve one problem I get another lol.

She is the only one that makes a straining sound. I’m so worried about her.:(

I took her out because she didn’t look right. I was concerned that something was wrong with her. I’m a new chicken mom do everything is alarming right now. Especially if it’s not what everyone else is doing.

It is?? I weighed up compared to the ones from the grocery store so I thought it was small. Maybe the egg is to big for her? Does this put her at risk for egg binding?

I didn’t think it was. It weighed 54 grams which had been her average.

My 23 yo buff just started laying less then 2 weeks ago. She was doing fine and within the last couple days I noticed that after she lays she can’t walk for about 15 minutes. I pulled her out of the nesting box and put her by the water and she drinks laying down. Is this normal and will pass?
