Laying eggs is amazing feat.. why are you bugging her.. maybe that's an issue for lot's of hens.. but we don't know it cause we ain't bootin' t hem outta the box.
There are indeed a lot of nerves back there including the sciatic.. when pressed on results in lameness..
But overall the birds do their own thing.. especially new layers may be in the box several hours figuring it out.. Maybe she was in her zen zone during the lay pressure and hadn't snapped out of it yet.. Sorta dazed. Or her leg had just gone numb with pins and needles from sitting too long int he wrong position.. But usually they STAND up to drop there egg in the box.
Over all I would just suggest leaving her be and then SEE what happens instead of rushing the process.

she is very needy. It’s so strange. She had tried several times to make my lap her nesting box. She follows me around the yard when she had to lay. She is the only one that does it.
