I tried Dumor starter feed once, but this was a couple years back. The feed was teeny tiny and easily eaten by the chicks but they always had runny/creamy looking poops so I switched back to Tucker Milling.
Not sure if I ever specified all places I buy my pet food (I think I did, but here it is again):
Reptile food comes from Petco, Petsmart, or Petsense (whichever I’m closest to at the time).
Rabbit food comes from walmart
Cat food comes from Walmart
Poultry food comes from the feed store
Hermit...
I know what you mean! Some local small businesses charge way more for the same thing I can get at a Walmart for a cheaper price. I guess they have to make a profit somehow. :th
Yep, it’s crazy. Sometimes I’d like to think they meant no harm by adding all the extra stuff that beats down on animals... but I don’t think that’s the case.
I do buy cat food from Walmart. Only because the only kind they can eat without throwing up, is Special Kitty. Something about the red dye in other foods.
I had heard a lot of people had that issue. Personally the time I had to buy Starter feed from tsc last year, I bought Dumor’s brand... it smelt funny. Similar to rotting fruit.
I have never ordered from Chewy. 🤔 Does your local Walmart sell layer feed? I think it’s like $14 or $15 at our local Walmart. Maybe you could save a few bucks. Then again, having feed delivered to your door sounds convenient!
