Official BYC Poll: Where Do You Buy Your Feed From & Why?

I’m talking about poultry feed, dog feed, cat feed, etc! Where do you purchase it from?

Personally, I figured out it was in my pocketbook’s best interest that I buy at our local feed & seed! At TSC, I was paying $17.50 per 40lb bag of feed I can get the same thing (in a bigger bag) for less money at my local feed store. I get 4, 50lb bags of feed right at $48.50 from the feed store. That’s somewhere around 12 bucks per bag. I’ve probably saved hundreds since swapping.

Awesome thread! I get my duck and chick feed from TSC or feed & seed, I get my cat food online, and I would get my pupper feed from the pet store or online when we had her

TSC. They have feed for my rabbits, chickens, and dogs, whereas some other stores might have only one of the kinds that I need.

I buy Dumor at TSC. I noticed that my hen's poop doesn't smell nearly as bad and the feed is a great price.

Nutrina from a local hardware feed store. I prefer to buy from locally owned businesses when I can. And at 12.00 a sack its a good price. I'd get out of chickens before I bought from tractor supply

We purchase cat and dog food online because we have animals with food allergies. Poultry feed we buy at the local farm store 22% layer feed is $11 for 40 or 50 pounds.

I buy chicken feed and dog food at a local feed & seed store... it’s called a co-op.
They are actually my go-to before a vet, they know everything and the employees tend to be farmers, FFA members, knowledgeable people of all animals.

Same it’s more for a 5 pound bag at TSC than a 50 pound at the local farm store
