Good morning! You're looking at threads from last yr., which is good for info, but probably not as helpful for current info like who has keets right now. If you look in the forum list, there's a wanted & for sale forum where you can post what you're wanting and your location.

To be fair, the only one I attempt to pick up outside of the coop is Blue..or "Bluey" as my gran calls him (everyone is a cartoon to him). He's the one you've seen in my lap talking to the camera & as my icon asleep in my arms. Yes, when they become teens and it's mating season, it's no longer...

After a sleepless night :caf pondering other causes (dogs, glasses, etc) logic might be setting in. MB I zoned in on absolutes. @R2elk 's shared wisdom was: "..the first breeding season when their hormones kick in their behavior changes... Imprinted guineas lose the ability to understand that...

No, it wasn't private. I drove him to distraction bc I spent so much time w/them,handled them, etc. He feels that doing so causes the bird to imprint, thus thinking I'm another guinea, leading up to the bird attacking, & then ppl no longer wanting the bird & culling it. I went out and did exactly as I said I was, everyone had their feet washed, nails trimmed, feet and legs vasolined and ivermectin drops. PJ was 1st up. I held him, cuddled him, talked to him, and he was perfectly calm, curled his toes over my fingers while I worked. Even sat and held him...

This will be the 1st batch's second spring/summer as adults, hatched 2019. Something different happened awhile ago that I'm not quite sure how to interpret. It's a good day for spring cleaning while everyone was out. So I scrubbed things down and raked out old bedding, feathers, etc. I didn't...

🤷‍♀️ I was just sitting out w/mine wondering why the boys cont to chase away the twins. But they are definitely getting louder, so was also thinking it's about that time -to start locking the girls up. -and refill the dust bath, bc there's not much dirt in it. Also debating about a larger...
