Doubt they care lol, they are still kind of stand offish, but Tuva is a funny girl and makes me laugh. That duck will quack quack quack out of the blue, any ol’ time and it sounds like she’s laughing and it cracks me up. The names are either Swedish or popular there now. My drake is half Swedish...
I’m sure you know Muscovy are the red meat of fowl and are supposed to be pretty tasty. I’ve never tried it, but was going to if my sons Muscovy hatched anything. That didn’t work out which was a bummer. Honestly though, the only duck out there I’d try is Jasper because he’s a jerk right now...
Haha! I can relate! I went through that with chickens for a while. Ducks are a bit harder on the water bill though and I have a huge garden so this is my limit for sure. If anyone goes broody next year the babies are out ASAP. But you know there’s always that one beautiful one you just have to...

Do you lock up your flock at night? My ducks hate being locked in at night. I gave up the fight and let them do whatever they want now.
Here’s a few pics from a couple weeks ago. The Fawn and White girls are the moms and the black one is the drake. The four others are the babies and are still a bit shy.
Hi all, can I join? I was supposed to have only four ducks, but started with three Runner ducklings. I thought one was going to be a drake so I bought 3 white layer ducklings. Everyone turned out to be female though, so I bought a Swedish Blue/black Runner drake. He wasn’t able to mate well with...
