My girls are doing great! I haven't had any illness or injury for a few months now. My avian vet might have forgotten the sounds of my voice. I'm so relieved.

Pigweed grew back almost entirely new colors after her last molt. It's so funny she looks like a different duck. Her winter outfit usually has a few red and black feathers, when she's typically mostly white, but this year she went crazy! She looks like a real welsh harlequin! I'll try to get a photo tomorrow.
I'm struggling a bit. My dog got diagnosed with lymphoma tonight. We've been at the ER all day, and are waiting to get him back now. I think we are going to do chemo for him.

One of my runners did that this year! Penelope is normally a milky chocolate with white splashes and after she molted, sthe brown came in a dark cocoa, almost black. She looks like a totally different duck.
