So it's the darkening spots into a point, not necessarily the individual feather?
They are pretty friendly boys, think they will keep this personality or will they get more aggressive...

Grey (Janet) has reddened quite a bit more.
Brown (Henrietta) still more of a pink, than a red, but has gotten fairly large. He is pretty friendly and doesn't mind being picked up.
A prior poster had said his neck feathers are sex linked, what does that mean exactly that so...
Hi again! I've been trying to google more information about the sex-specific feathering but only articles I keep finding is checking the feathers within their first day or two. Wondering if you have any websites or info can share about this to help learn more ways to distinguish girls vs boys?
For helping me learn, what makes it sex specific? The darker part before it hits the orange ish brown?
What would be your best guess at part of the breed mix?
Bummer, already was pretty sure Grey was a rooster but had my hopes up on the other since it didn't have much red
Is the blue cochin red waddles the giveaway? Or are there other things? These are my first chickens and trying to learn as much as I can. Watching them grow has been really fun and have enjoyed learning more about them
