Janet & Henrietta - breed /sex thoughts?

That is not a Buff Brahma nor is it a pullet. He has sex-specific feathering on the shoulders and has what appears to a cushion or perhaps rose comb. The blue bird is also a cockerel and not a Cochin. This bird has a modified pea comb while Cochins have single. Both are mixed breed cockerels.
Hi again! I've been trying to google more information about the sex-specific feathering but only articles I keep finding is checking the feathers within their first day or two. Wondering if you have any websites or info can share about this to help learn more ways to distinguish girls vs boys?

Update on these two!
Grey (Janet) has reddened quite a bit more.
Brown (Henrietta) still more of a pink, than a red, but has gotten fairly large. He is pretty friendly and doesn't mind being picked up.

A prior poster had said his neck feathers are sex linked, what does that mean exactly that so I can learn?

These are pointed feathers AKA sex-specific feathering since only males will ever have pointed feathers. I recommend only looking for this on the saddle and shoulder areas as hackle feathers in both sexes can appear quite pointed so in my opinion, should be ignored.

Thank you both! The picture with the outline is what I needed, because I kept looking at their neck feathers.
So it's the darkening spots into a point, not necessarily the individual feather?

They are pretty friendly boys, think they will keep this personality or will they get more aggressive with age?

Hi everyone! I had previously had a thread for a handful of chickens (including these 2), but wanted to steer my focus on figuring out what these could be.

They are 8.5 weeks old 11/15 (born within same day or two of each other).

Janet (Grey) we are figuring roo at this point, but hoping maybe one of the rare instances she is a she. My neighbor who gave us the chickens tends to think "she" is, but will see in the coming weeks.

Henrietta (brownish mix) we are hoping is a girl because of how well "she" does at being picked up and petted.

Additionally from figuring out pullets or not... Any thoughts on breeds /breed mix?
Would their feet feathers be considered booted, if not booted is their another name for this "style"?

Neighbor that I got them from keeps all his chickens mixed so nobody is really 100%, lol, but would love some guesses from the pros. 😉
Both are cockerels.

The individual rooster-specific feathers are going to be long, shiny, and pointed. These feathers will be concentrated on their shoulders and the base of their tails.

If they’re friendly now, they could definitely stay friendly, but it can be hard to tell. Signs of aggression to watch out for would be them dropping their wing or shoulder at you.
