    His comb has always been a bit wonky. It started growing the little side spurs pretty early on, and as he grew the main comb just never sharpened up.

    Facinating discussion in this thread, love hearing what people are doing with the breed. I posted a picture of my Del cockerel in early July, he sure has come a long way since then. And he is still king of the coop for sure. Here's an updated pic, now 30 weeks old.

    Too funny! My Henrietta was originally named Henry, but once I realized she was a pullet, I convinced my son that we should rename her and make another one Henry. Full name is King Henry the First, since he likes to name everything Henry, I figured that was a good way to keep the name line going...

    Delawares are such a cool breed. I am new to chicken keeping, and 3 of the chicks got at the feed store happen to be delawares. Took me a few weeks and a couple threads to figure out what they were, but since they were chicks they have been my absolute favorites. They are now between 13 and 14...
